almost there
hay yall, so im here at white oak. ive played some fun games, got some free food, and watched the rain. its actually quite refreshing to just sit and soak in everything and redirect my mind from academics (i dont know how to spell that word) to summer stuff. we leave tomorrow supposedly around one. im driving my granddaddy's car, and as most of you know, im not the most relaxed and experienced driver, ok actually, cars moving on the road is one of my biggest fears. so yeah, id appreciate some prayer for driving, and i know my mom would too. thanks so much! i love you all. have a wonderful day, and let me know what i can pray for you about. you can post here or email me. cool <><

I know this is a nervous time for you, but just remember that you don't have to face it alone. Your friends and family love you, and we are praying for you in all that you do this summer. And even when it seems like we're so far away, God never is. He's always right there by your side, and He'll guide and direct you every step of the way. Never lose faith in God's plan for your life even when it looks scary or unclear at times. I know He's going to do so many great works and wonders through you and your co-workers at the children's home this summer! You're going to do a great job, and I can't wait to hear all about it!
As for the driving part, just imagine all the cars are actually sitting parked and it's only you moving (but don't let that be an excuse to speed! Hehe).
You have a wonderful summer, Lauren. Thanks for being the kind and loving person you are. Take care, and I will see you in August!
Brother in Christ,
David B.
