Hay! i started this thing because of the summer mission job i had, but decided to keep writing stuff, especially since a graduated friend says he reads it to see how my life is going. a description? why tell about what i wrote when you can just go ahead and read it. warning: i've got nothing deeply profound or incredibly eloquent, it's just bits of my life.

i love it

hay yall, ok i dont have long, but just a quick update. im still alive and im loving being here more and more each day. Some new people have recently moved here. one girl is a true orphan. most of them have at least one parent living. anyway, a 3 ft tall kindergarten boy kissed my hand. his front four teeth are rotten and he has the cutest smile. im helping him learn to swim, and we tried to catch fireflies last night. he asked me if he was gonna grow in new teeth. (the rotten ones are baby teeth). I love him to death. Another sweet little black girl who looks like a china doll and hardly talks informed me that her half fake hair was called a weave and it came from a horse's butt. we got to hike to the farm and pick blueberries-we ate some and fed others to the goats. last week first baptist spartenburg came and did bible school. Two of the little girls from the crisis home became Christians. Next week we are taking a group of about 45 to centrifuge at North Greenville College. so prayer would be great for that. a lot of the kids are getting a lot more comfortable talking with us, and the lady in waiting study with the girls is going well. ok, and if you read this soon, i could use some prayer because Grace is going to see her grandfather who is real sick (pray for them please), and ill be staying friday nite by myself. ive never stayed a nite by myself. ok, well thanks for your prayers and i hope you are doing wonderfully. God is just so awesome. This place is perfect for me this summer and Grace is the perfect partner. we are both learning and growing so much individually and together. love you all,

amazing

hay everybody, we now have a place to use a computer with internet. pretty exciting. anyway, this first week has been amazing! the kids are beautiful. I've learned so much already and learned to appreciate so much more. Please pray for a girl named Terese who wants to follow Christ, but there are doubts and fears she is working through right now, but God is really working in her life. and Samantha has become a Christian but realized she had gotten away from her walk, and has decided to recommit. and our first Saturday, a little 11 year old named Casey became a Christian. Its really humbling and exciting to see God do amazing things in these kids lives and let us be a part of that work. My partner Grace is wonderful, and we know we have been perfectly matched. we work well together and understand each other, and our ministry gifts are very complimentary. It really breaks my heart to see these kids and get a peek into their lives, but it has been a wonderful experience so far. thanks for you prayers, i hope you are having a wonderful summer. And you never know who you might meet who could be in serious need of love, everyone can use a boost. love you,

almost there

hay yall, so im here at white oak. ive played some fun games, got some free food, and watched the rain. its actually quite refreshing to just sit and soak in everything and redirect my mind from academics (i dont know how to spell that word) to summer stuff. we leave tomorrow supposedly around one. im driving my granddaddy's car, and as most of you know, im not the most relaxed and experienced driver, ok actually, cars moving on the road is one of my biggest fears. so yeah, id appreciate some prayer for driving, and i know my mom would too. thanks so much! i love you all. have a wonderful day, and let me know what i can pray for you about. you can post here or email me. cool <><
